Frances Evelyn Haley

Gastonia, NC - Frances Evelyn Haley, 69, of Gastonia, passed away Thursday, January 30th, at her residence. She was born August 11, 1944 in Geneva, NY, daughter of the late Bernard and Dorothy Leisenring. She was a member of Dallas Baptist Church who sang in the church choir. She loved her family, bowling, horseback riding and her Bambi Boo. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Dallas Baptist Church - 402 W Trade St. Dallas, NC 28034, officiated by Rev. Bill Abrams. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. on Monday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel. Interment will be at VA National Cemetery, Salisbury. Frances is survived by: her husband, of over 53 years, Jesse Willard Haley, Jr., son, Jay Haley and partner, Chip Hagan; daughters, La Vonna Haley - Murphy, Debbie Cunningham and husband, Chris, Patty Newsom and husband, Jerry, Jessie Lee Bryce and husband, Todd, Kim Marie Morris, Vickie Ortiz and husband, A.J.; brother, Tom Deane; sisters, Marian and Charlene Leisenring; mother-in-law, Lorene Haley; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Russ Payton; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Linda Haley; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: brothers, William, Bernard and Howard Leisenring; sister, Louelle Burlew; step-father, Lester Gillum; father-in-law, Jesse W.
