Floyd Carlton Martin

Floyd Carlton Martin, 79, of Mt Holly, NC, passed away, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
He was born July 20, 1940 in Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Charlie Martin and Evie Leah Barrett Martin.
Floyd was a member of Salem Baptist Church, Gastonia. He loved to be around his family, and he loved his animals. He was always doing good deeds and most of all he cherished his wife.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Martin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Brenda Gantt Martin; son, Sean Martin; daughters, Donna Louise Martin and Dede Martin Stowe (Mark); brother, Calvin Martin; grandchildren, Kaylin Walkowiak, Tommy Walkowiak, Brittany Poole (Jeremy), Patrick Collins, Destanie Stowe, Kaylee Stowe and Haley Parker; and great-grandchildren, Brody Poole, Carlyn Poole and Logan Poole.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Junior Morris will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Salem Baptist Church – 1534 Rolling Meadow Lane, Gastonia, NC 28054.
Family will receive friends one-hour prior at the church.
Also, family will gather at other times at the home of Donna Martin.
Burial will be held at Grover City Cemetery, Grover.
