Floyd Earl Huffstetler

Floyd Earl Huffstetler, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on July 14, 1946, in North Carolina, Floyd was a lifelong resident of Gaston County, where he made a lasting impact on his family and community.

Floyd dedicated many years of his life working in the textile industry throughout Gaston and Lincoln counties. He was proud to be a skilled mechanic and was known for his love of farming and working with his hands. An enthusiast of classic cars and tractors, Floyd had an adventurous spirit that shone through in everything he did. He had a remarkable way of connecting with people and was known for never meeting a stranger. Floyd was always ready to lend a hand to those in need, and he truly was the glue that held his family together.

Floyd is survived by his siblings Melvine Parton, Michael Huffstetler, and Betty Husky. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children, Teresa Hall, Melinda Avery and Wanda Bryant, as well as five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola Dellinger Huffstetler and Flay Huffstetler, and his dear siblings, Alta May Hardin, Earnest Huffstetler, Brenda Sorrow, Martha Young, and Dennis Huffstetler.

Visitation will be held at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 1:30-2:30PM. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Arrowood Baptist Church Cemetery, 6417 Dallas Cherryville Highway, Bessemer City at 3:00 PM, where we will celebrate Floyd's life and the love he shared with everyone around him.

Floyd will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved.
