Flossie Rebecca Clanton Stewart, 89, of Gastonia passed away November 22, 2018 at Terrace Ridge.
She was born May 21, 1929, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late, Charles Carson Clanton and Estelle Sims Clanton. She was the wife of the late Robert Cicero Stewart.
She is survived by her sons, Scott Stewart (Sara), Mark Stewart (Amanda), Kevin Stewart (Alice); daughter, Kara Moore; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Flossie enjoyed her family and was fondly remembered by her classmates at Ashley High School as the "May Queen" of 1947.
A private graveside service Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S. New Hope Road, Gastonia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054 or Veterans Association of America, Inc. P.O. Box 309 Audubon Station, New York, New York 10032-0309
