Flora Ellen Cope

Flora Ellen Cope, 75, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Atrium Health Cleveland Hospital, Shelby.

She was born February 12, 1948, in Polk Co, NC, daughter of the late William Griffin and Kathleen Williams.

Flora was a member of Crowders Mountain Baptist Church, Kings Mountain. She loved her fur babies, Cole, and Brownie, and cooking for her family when she was able.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Cope; son, Ted Williams, Jr.; and brother, Douglas Griffin.

Flora is survived by her son, Charles Williams (Kimberly); daughter, Mary Meeks (Jonathan); sister, Joan Harris (Floyd); grandchildren, Amanda Williams, James Williams, Christopher Williams, Edwin Weaver, and Lyndsey Williams; and great-grandchildren, Railynn, and Paxton.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Larry Laws and Charles Williams, will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Crowders Mountain Baptist Church - 125 Mayberry Ln., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
