Faye Jean Wiggins

Faye Jean Wiggins, 86, of Gastonia, NC, peacefully passed away on September 17, 2024, at her residence.

Born on November 4, 1937, in North Carolina, daughter of the late Richard Everette Carpenter and Beatrice Harwell Carpenter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Ray Wiggins; sons, Mark Wiggins, and Todd Wiggins; and siblings, Richard Carpenter, and Carolyn Laws.

Faye worked in the assembly industry for outdoor equipment manufacturing, and she retired from Homelite. Her hobbies included camping, quilt making, and going to gospel music outings. Faye was a longtime member of Parkwood Baptist Church, Gastonia.

She leaves behind her son, Rev. Richard Dexter Wiggins; grandchildren, Casey Kight (Josh), Richard Christopher Wiggins, Marcus Wiggins, and Will Wiggins; great grandchildren, Connor, Ethan, Sawyer, Corban, Kelly, Clara, and Sadie; and siblings, Vivian Wike (Frank), Sandra Woody (Jim), and Susan Carpenter.

A visitation will be held at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 1:00 pm-2:00 pm, located at 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. Following the visitation, a graveside service officiated by Scott Rudisill at Gaston Memorial Park will be held at 2:30 pm on the same day, located at 1200 S New Hope Rd., Gastonia, NC 28054.

Faye will be remembered for her hard work and dedication to her family. May she rest in peace.
