Faye "Tooger" Steelman Costner

Faye "Tooger" Steelman Costner, 78, of Bessemer City, passed away on June 13, 2016, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born January 21, 1938, in Wilkes County, NC, daughter of the late John Samuel Steelman and Ethel Grace McNeil Steelman.

Faye was a Member of Hardin Community Baptist Church in Dallas. She was devoted to her family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and an avid gardener. She enjoyed shopping and dining out with family.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, at Hardin Community Baptist Church, 548 Hardin Road Dallas, officiated by Rev. Clay Ledford.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends 1:00 -2:45 p.m. prior to the service on Friday

Mrs. Costner is survived by, her loving husband of 59 years, Bud Costner; daughters, Cheri Shull and husband, Steve, Kim McBee and husband, Frank; son, Greg Costner; grandchildren, Amy Dills, Travis Shull, Brick McBee; great – grandson, Tyler Lewis Bess; beloved dogs, Henry and Missy.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by, six brothers; two sisters; granddaughter, Beverly Mechelle Dills.
