Faye Bingham Spurrier

Lincolnton, NC Faye Bingham Spurrier, 72, of Lincolnton, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 27, 2013. A native of Claremont, SC, she was born February 23, 1941 daughter of the late George McKinney and Beatrice Johnson Crowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Gladys Traywick and Frances McKinney; brother, George McKinney; and cousin-in-law, Jimmy Shoemaker. Mrs. Spurrier attended West Fifth Avenue Free Will Baptist Church in Gastonia. Faye is survived by her loving husband of over 19 years, Danny Spurrier of the home; children and spouses, Keith and Jane Bingham, Annette and Bobby Bostic, Elaine Bingham and Sang Huynh, Julie and Butch Persinger, Carey Bingham, Terry and Jennifer Bingham, Richard Bingham, Donna Bingham and fiancé Kelly; stepchildren, Lynn Thomas and spouse Jerry, Reba Snyder and spouse Lonnie; sister, Gail Garrett; 37 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Richard Cole and Rev. Fred Sanford, will be held 1:00pm on Wednesday at West Fifth Avenue Free Will Baptist Church, 2145 W 5th Ave., Gastonia.Interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. The family will receive friends at the church from 7-9 pm on Tuesday.
