Faye Walker Lyda

Faye Walker Lyda, 82, of Dallas, passed away June 27, 2017 at Peak Resources in Cherryville.

She was born, a native of Gaston County on April 1, 1935, the daughter of Woodrow Walker and Grace Taylor Melton.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Karen Van Pelt; daughter-in-law, Belinda Martin; grandchildren, Susan Teague, Natasha Alexander, Ashley Lackey; great-grandchildren, Austin Garrison, Hunter Garrison, Mason Lackey, and Sierra Alexander.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Keith Martin and brother, Arl Walker.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Her final resting place will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
