Faye Stamey Gori

Faye Stamey Gori, 62, of Bessemer City, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016, at her home.

She was born May 11, 1954, in Henderson County, daughter of Dorothy Bates Stamey and the late Fred Roger Stamey. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Stamey.

Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She attended Harvest Baptist Church and was a member of Lowell Church of God.

Left to cherish her memories, along with her mother are her husband George Gori, daughters, Donna Crane and husband Jeff, Tammy Garland and husband Kerry, son, David Hastings and wife Amanda, step children, Mandi Gori Payne and husband Ronnie, and Renee Gori Nelms and husband Michael, siblings, Michelle Stamey Neagle and husband Jeff, Jerry Stamey and wife Martha, Doug Stamey, and wife Jennie, Kenny Stamey, grandchildren, Samuel, Jordan and Jessica Crane, Krystin Sherrill, Ansley and Kyle Shelton, Emily Hastings, Gavin and Jackson Payne, Landry Ramsey, great grandchildren, Daniel Jones, Natalee Woodruff, Carter Crane and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 3pm on Saturday, at Harvest Baptist Church, officiating Pastor Robin Taylor and the Revs. Phillip Cochran and David Hastings.

The family will receive friends 6-8pm on Friday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd. Gastonia.

Interment will be held at Westview Gardens Cemetery in Bessemer City.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Harvest Baptist Church, 311 N 14th St, Bessemer City, NC 28016.
