Faye May Cook

Faye May Cook, 80, of Gastonia, passed away May 30, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born a native of Gaston County, April 25, 1935, the daughter of the late, George Harlan May and Trilba Young May. Faye was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Thelma Cobb; grandchildren, Gary Scott Cates and Bobby Eugene Grigg and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Johnny Eugene Cates, Sr. and all of her siblings. A celebration of life service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Temple Baptist Church - 701 Littlejohn Street, Gastonia, officiated by the Revs. Scott Whitener and Mike Sepaugh. Visitation will be 1:00 - 1:45 pm prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church Missions, 701 Littlejohn Street, Gastonia, NC 28052. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
