Fay Rhea Brewer Oates

Fay Rhea Brewer Oates, 93, passed away, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at her home on Lake Wylie.

She was born April 9, 1929, in Dallas Texas, to the late Earlton and Minnie Pearl Rhea.

Fay was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Fay was always a very strong woman; she left an example that we all aspire to. She loved landscaping and grew beautiful flowers. She loved and cared for two very special families, the Kanes and the Wilkinsons.

In addition to her parents, Fay was preceded in death by her first spouse, Donald John Brewer; brothers, Vance Rhea, Bill Rhea, Earl Rhea, Gail Rhea; sisters, JoAnn White, Juanita Brooks, Bernice Shindoll.

Fay is survived by her husband, Clyde David Oates; son, Don Brewer Sr.; daughter, Patti Dutton; brother, Charles Rhea (Dale); sister, Mary Bishop; grandchildren, Jacqueline Hahn White, Melissa Dutton, James Dutton, Justin Dutton, Clay Dutton, Don Brewer Jr., Jennifer Morejon; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.
