Faith Allison

Faith (Patterson) Allison, 82, passed away at her home in Chicago, IL on September 03, 2025. She was born June 22, 1943 in Meadville, PA to the late Ewing and Dorothy Patterson.

In addition to her parents, Faith was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Thomas L. Allison and her son, Clark E. Allison. Faith is survived by her daughter, Susan Allison, of Chicago, IL.

Faith attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC for 2 years and transferred to Edinboro State College in Edinboro, PA, where she graduated in 1965 with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught in the Crawford County school system, teaching second grade at East End School.

In 1973 she worked at Spencer Hospital and became secretary to the hospital administrator, where she served until 1982, at which time Talon zipper company transferred her husband to Stanley, NC. The family settled in Gastonia, where she taught at Gardner Park Elementary School. She served a total of 15 years in the Gaston County School System, retiring in 2005.

Faith attended First Baptist Church in Gastonia before moving to Chicago to live with her daughter in 2018.

A private service will be held.
