Evelyn F. Flowers

Evelyn F. Flowers, of Bessemer City, was born on August 10, 1930, in Oconee County, South Carolina. She graced this world with her presence for 94 wonderful years. She passed peacefully on February 10, 2025, at Morningside of Gastonia, surrounded by the warmth of love and cherished memories.

Evelyn was a beacon of joy and strength, influencing everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She dedicated her life to her family, and her greatest joy was being a loving mother to her sons, and a loving grandmother to her precious granddaughter and great-granddaughter. Her laughter and kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.

She could often be found out in her yard, cutting the grass, trimming bushes and planting flowers. She had won several yard of the week awards for her beautiful yard.

One of her favorite hobbies was dancing. She not only loved to line dance, but she was always willing to teach anyone who wanted learn.

In celebration of Evelyn's remarkable life, a funeral service will be held noon Saturday, February 15, 2024, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Robert Austin.

The family will receive friends 11-12 noon prior to the service at the funeral home.

The burial will be at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.

We invite all who knew and loved Evelyn to join us in honoring her legacy, to reflect on the beauty she brought into our lives, and to celebrate the vibrant spirit she embodied.

As we commemorate her life, let us remember her as a radiant soul who filled our days with joy and inspiration.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, Steve Flowers (Dana), Mike Flowers; brother, Lewis Franks (Diane); grandchild, Traci Tedder; great-grandchild, Emma Tedder.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Clyde Franks and Roselene Ramsey Franks; brothers, Lloyd and Clarence Franks; sisters, Lois Gallant, Edith Flowers.
