Eulean Grant Carpenter

Eulean Grant Carpenter, 94, of Summitt Place, Kings Mountain passed away on December 27, 2012 at Wendover Hospice. She was born September 20, 1918 in Cherokee County NC daughter of the late Will and Bessie Grant. Mrs. Carpenter was a nurse who worked for hospitals in the surrounding areas and a nursing home in Melbourne, Florida. The family will receive friends 2:00- 3:00 on Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. Mrs. Carpenter is survived by: sons, Charles B. Carpenter Jr. and wife Virginia, Wm Danny Carpenter and wife Del; daughters, Joan McMillan and husband Leonard, Kim Humbard and husband Charles; brother, Hershal Grant and wife Jackie; sisters, Aubrey Reinhardt and husband Paul, Norma Howell; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles B. Carpenter Sr.; grandson, DB Carpenter; great grandson, Evan McCorkle; 7 brothers; 1 sister.
