Eugene Hambrick

On Sunday, January 17, 2021, Eugene Hambrick, 86, of Gastonia, NC passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on March 15, 1934, to the late James Lonzo Hambrick and Mae Coupee Hambrick.

Gene had a servant's heart. He served his Savior, his family, his neighbors and his church faithfully. He enjoyed being outdoors & always staying busy.

He was known for his dependability, hardworking nature, and ability to make others laugh. He also loved spending quality time with his grandchildren & great children.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lillian F. Hambrick; his sons, Larry Hambrick, John Hambrick, & James (Eddie) Hambrick & wife, Wanda; his 6 grandchildren, Tony Hambrick & wife Leyla, Brittany Manley & husband Alex, Nina Hambrick, Ashley Cable & husband John, Sarah Hambrick, & Adam Hambrick; great-grandchildren, Wynter Hambrick; Noah, Owen & Levi Manley; Vivian Lewis; and Jace & Evalee Cable.

A funeral service for Eugene officiated by Pastor Steve Hicks, will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service- 1503 S. York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052

Prior to the service Mr. Hambrick will lie in state at the funeral home from 9:00 am- 12:00pm on Friday.

Interment to follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Riverside Baptist Church- 171 S Main St, Cramerton, NC 28032
