Eugene Nelson Faris

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Mr. Eugene (Gene) Nelson Faris, 66, of Belmont, North Carolina.

A Gaston County native, Mr. Faris was born on April 7, 1954, and passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. He worked at Norwesco Plastics for over thirty years in a variety of different capacities. He was also very passionate about playing the guitar and enjoyed singing gospel songs. He is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Faris. He is survived by his brother, Mr. Tom Faris of Belmont; son, Mr. Jeff Faris of Cramerton; two grandchildren; and companion, Martha Helton.
