Ethel "Marie" Odell, 60, of Belmont, NC, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 2, 1960, in Bryson City, NC, daughter of Velma Herron Reed and the late Jackie Anthony.
Marie is preceded in death by her father, Jackie Anthony; and sister, Maggie Dover.
She is survived by her mother, Velma Herron Reed and husband, Audie; husband, Jackie Lee Odell; sons, Jason Odell, Jerry Odell, Jackie Nanney, and Jimmy Nanney; brothers, Jamie Anthony, and Paul Anthony; sister, Mary Dover; and grandchildren, Chloe Nanney, Jackie Nanney, Jr., and Jamison Nanney.
A funeral service will be held 4pm on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Luada Cemetery, Bryson City, NC.
