Gastonia, NC - Ethel (Tiny) Gladden, 80, of Gastonia, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Peak Resources of Gastonia. She was born February 24, 1934, native of Gaston County, daughter of the late, John J. and Nellie Williams. She was "a mother to all" who enjoyed gardening and cooking fried potatoes. She retired from A-B Carter after 15 years of service. A celebration of life service will be held 4 pm on Saturday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by, Rev. L.J. Barnes. Visitation will be 2 - 3:45 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Armstrong Cemetery. The family will be gathering at Tiny's home after the service. Ethel is survived by: sons, Clarence Gladden III and wife, Sherry; Charles Gladden and wife, Sandra; Dennis Gladden; brother, Charles Williams; sisters, Barbara Bumgardner and husband, Donald; Sherry Williams and husband, Zeb; grandchildren, Shane Gladden and wife, Libby; Steven Gladden and wife, Melody; Lisa Teasley; Crissie Lassiter and husband, Robbie; Rhyne "Fat Jack" Gladden; Jamie McSwain and wife, Caroline; Kimberly Gladden; Heather Meeks and husband, Steven; Rick, Tyler and Skyler Revis; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gladden, Jr.; sons, Steven and Jackie Gladden; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Memorials may be made to: American Cancer Society - 1901 Brunswick Ave., Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207 Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
