Esther Williamson Smith

Esther Williamson Smith, 81, passed away September 13, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. She was born May 26, 1931 in Hartford, TN, daughter of the late Lem and Savannah Conard Williamson. A funeral service will be held 3 pm on Sunday at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Johnny Sawyer. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gastonia. She is survived by: her son, R.L. Barker and wife, Martha Ann; daughter, Barbara Morgan; brothers, Victor and Guy Williamson; sisters, Etta McGugan, Mary Caldwell; grandchildren, Kristopher, Joshua, Lisa, Kachel, Angela and Andra; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Kelly, Craig, Andrew and Hope; geat great grandchildren, Gavin and Corey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Pryor Smith; daughter, Carolyn Lay; grandson, David; great great grandchild, Jordan; brothers, Burl and Leonard Williamson; sister, Jet Bryson Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
