Ervin Leroy Lancaster

Ervin Leroy Lancaster, 78, of Gastonia, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at his daughter's home.

He was born June 17, 1938, son of the late Zeno and Essie Lancaster.

Ervin was a member of Westview Baptist Church and he was a very humble and funny man who loved his family and his church family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Lancaster.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Inez Lancaster; son, Dean Lancaster; daughters, Dale Schiff and husband Todd, Myra Williams, Hope Lancaster; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jerry Millwood, will be held 12 noon Saturday, November 5, at Westview Baptist Church, 3385 Fairview Drive Gastonia 28052.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to Westview Baptist Church missions.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
