Errol Eugene Mcdonald

Errol Eugene McDonald, 82, of Belmont, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.  He was born November 20, 1939 in York County, SC and was the son of the late Clayton and Ellie McDonald. Mr. McDonald attended East Belmont Baptist Church.  He was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of the Moose Lodge, Belmont. He loved to sing and loved his family.

In addition of his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, June Dassing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Joyce Brown McDonald; sons, Eddie McDonald (Renee McDonald), Marlon McDonald (Connie Hightower), and Andy McDonald (June Mayton); sister, Sandy Bailey; grandchildren, Derrick McDonald, Michael McDonald, Chad McDonald, Caleb Fox, and Stephen McDonald; 8 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Monday, February 14, 2022 at  the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service 1503 S York Rd. Gastonia, NC, officiated by Pastor Jeff Taylor.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be private.
