Ernestine Recore

Ernestine Recore, 91, passed away October 21, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 2, 1927 in Vienna, Austria, the daughter of the late Josefa Kern. She lived in the Charlotte area for over 38 years and resided in Hamburg Germany, Bellingham, Massachusetts and Alexandria, Virginia.
Ernestine loved music and was devoted to her family who she loved very much.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Eugene T. Recore of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; Francis Recore and wife, Patty of Yuba City, California; Michael Recore and wife, Tonya of Bessemer City; Susan Lucci and husband Dan of Whitby Island, Washington and Joseph Recore and wife, Debra of Charlotte; grandchildren, Brian, Matthew, Tom, John, Sara, Rebecca, Nickie and Brittany and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene T. Recore who passed away November 22, 1970.
A memorial service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Bethlehem Church, 3100 Bethlehem Church Street, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Steve Black.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
