Ernest Taylor

Ernest L. Taylor, 87, of Bessemer City, passed away August 4, 2012 at The Robin Johnson House, Dallas. He was born February 15, 1925 in Gaston County son of the late Luther Taylor and Mattie Rumfelt Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bessemer City. He was a native of Gaston County and WWII Veteran. A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm on Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, Gastonia officiated by Rev. Mike Criswell and Rev. Steve Weaver. The family will receive friends 3:00 - 4:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City with Military Honors. Mr. Taylor is survived by: his loving wife of over 64 years, Pauline R. Taylor; sons, Ron Taylor and wife Sue, Jerry Taylor and wife Myra; brother, Edward Taylor; sister, Geneva Buchanan; grandchildren, Chris Taylor and Dana Todd; 5 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: brothers, Henry, James, Paul and Carl Taylor; sister, Louise Looper. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to The Robin Johnson House P.O.
