Ernest Clifton Elswick, Jr.

March 19, 1938 — August 18, 2021

Ernest Clifton Elswick, Jr., 83, formerly of Stanley, NC, passed away August 18, 2021 at Lake Emory Post Acute Care in Inman, SC.

He was born March 19, 1938 in Ward, WV to the late Ernest Clifton Elwick, Sr. and Mae Daniels Elswick.

In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Elswick.

Ernest is survived by his son, Craig Elswick; his daughter, Kari Dolfinger; a sister, Charlotte Crum; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A celebration of life service, officiated by Pastor Tony Franklin, will be held Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:00 am at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment with military honors for Mr. Elswick will be held Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
