Erik Gerard Ramsey

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Erik Gerard Ramsey, known lovingly as Gerard, on September 14, 2026. Born on June 2, 1973, Gerard was a Gaston County, NC native who brought joy and love to many in his beloved city of Dallas.

He was a dedicated family man, leaving behind his father, Harold Ramsey, mother, Linda Whiting, and two wonderful daughters, Brittany Huffling Lowery (Daniel) and Erika Ramsey (Jeremy Elmore); grandchildren, Gabriel Elmore, Khloe Elmore, and McKenna Huffling Lowery; sister, Crystal Ramsey; niece, Carissa Ervin, nephew, Kevin Jackson; numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Gerard was preceded in death by wife, Ginger Ramsey; grandmother, Mildred Fraley.

Gerard always lent a helping hand to those in need. He had a deep passion for the great outdoors, spending his free time hunting, fishing, and soaking in the beauty of the mountains. Above all, Gerard cherished his family and his faith in God, and his warm spirit touched the lives of everyone he met.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at Legacy Church, 2316 Union Rd, Gastonia NC, 28054, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Gerard's life and share their cherished memories.

Gerard's legacy of kindness, love for nature, and devotion to his family will live on in our hearts. He will be sorely missed, but his spirit will always remain with us.
