Erik James Carlson

Erik James Carlson, aged 31, passed away on October 22, 2023, in Bessemer City, North Carolina. He was born in Oakland County, Michigan on March 7, 1992, to parents David E Carlson and Amanda L. Narbut.

Erik loved singing karaoke, gaming, creating various forms of art, and making everyone around him laugh. Anything that Erik cared for, he cared for with intensity, passion, and a side of humor. Erik loved his family and friends dearly. He loved his country and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps with 4 years of active service and 3 years in the reserves from 2010 to 2017.

Erik is survived by wife Kaitlynn Driggers and her family, sons James Carlson, Joseph Carlson, and Lukas Carlson, Parents David & Kym Carlson, Nicholas & Amanda Narbut, siblings D.J. Carlson, Emily Carlson, Frankie Carlson, Christian Carlson, Kaitlyn Carlson, Graelyn Carlson, Alexis Narbut, Lillian Narbut, and his many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greene Funeral home, as well as the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor David Murray will be held Monday, November 6, 2023, 11:00 am, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
