Erica Jane Pruitt

Erica Jane Pruitt, 43, a native of Gaston Co, NC, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC.

She was born July 18, 1978, daughter of the late Van Tyrone Pruitt and Phyllis Jean Greene Wells.

Erica was a loving mother, daughter, and sister. She never met a stranger and was the life of the party.  Erica was a diehard Tar Heel Fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kalee Treece; and grandparents, Oscar and Betty Greene, and Andy and Kate Pruitt.

Erica is survived by her stepfather, James Wells; son, Christopher Ty Sutton (Haleigh Edwards); daughter, Emily Jean Sutton; sister, Katie Miller (David); and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life service officiated by Rev. Junior Morris, will be held 2pm on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Salem Baptist Church – 1534 Rolling Meadows Lane, Gastonia, NC 28054.

Family will fellowship after the service with friends at the church.
