Eric Bryan Thompson, Sr.

Eric Bryan Thompson Sr., 48, of Bessemer City, NC, passed away, Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, NC.

He was born December 28, 1971, a native of Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Robert David Thompson Sr. and Mary Huggins Thompson.

Eric spent his spare time fishing and riding his Harley. He was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert "David" Thompson Jr.

Eric is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Crystal Ervin Thompson; sons, Eric and Patricia Thompson Jr., Marcus Thompson and Derrick Thompson; daughters, Erica and Kenney Eaves, Megan Ervin and Deanna Ervin; brother, Larry and Pamela Thompson; and grandchildren, Ashton, Landon, Hazel, Destiney, Aliyah, Kenney, Hailey and Maddox.

A funeral service will be held 3 pm on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Long Creek Cemetery.
