Eric Brian Long

Eric Long, 65, of Gastonia, passed away September 3, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born November 9, 1956, in Gaston County, NC to the late William "Bill" George and Anita Wilkinson Long.

Eric loved baseball and the Atlanta Braves.  He played baseball in high school.  His nickname was "Crash".

Eric is survived by his brothers and sister, Randy Long, Myra Spencer, Darrell Long, and Mike Long; and nieces and nephews, Douglas Black, Kristie Foley, Sharon Pearson, Kelly Cossyleon, Amy Stamey, Mandy Long, and Jessica Morris.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
