She loved to travel, Siesta Key, Florida was an absolute favorite destination. She was known for her beautiful smile that could light up a room, her heart was nothing short of pure. She embodied the very definition of love, and she poured it out freely from an endless cup, to not only her family and friends but to everyone she encountered. Knowing her, she's in heaven right now serving sweet tea and her famous pound cake. It was her mission in life to serve and give.

Retired from AGY in Aiken, SC where she worked in the accounting department, she loved her coworkers whom she also considered friends.

Arrangements lovingly handled by Greene Funeral Home in Gastonia, NC.

In lieu of a funeral, Emogene requested a celebration of life. We will honor her at a private ceremony held at Bansen Farm for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers we request sharing a favorite memory with family, planting a beautiful flower in your own yard or making a donation in her honor to Robin Johnson Hospice House. There will be a private family graveside ceremony, where she will be at rest with her husband and son at Sandy Plains Baptist Church, Gastonia, NC.
