Elvin (Eggie) Bradley, 84, of Grover, passed away on April 26, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. He was born May 9, 1930 in Tryon, NC son of the late Milo Bradley and Josie Kuykendoll Bradley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Wallace and Floyd Bradley; grandson, Matthew Townsend. He was retired from Wix Filters where he was employed for 40 years. Mr. Bradley was a US Marine Veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church where he was a former deacon. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending to his garden. One of his favorite things to do was to spend time with his family. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia officiated by Dr. Rev. Gene Ware and speaker Jacob Wilson The family will receive friends 7:00 -9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sunnyside Baptist Church Cemetery, Bessemer City, with military honors provided by U.S. Marines and the Gaston County Honor Guard. Mr. Bradley is survived by his loving wife of 65 years , Bernice Helms Bradley; children, Tim Bradley and wife Janet of Blacksburg, SC, Gail Bess and husband Larry, Kathy Leatherwood, Sheila Green and husband Daniel, all of Grover, Debbie Street and husband Charles of Gastonia; four grandchildren and a special grandson Robbie Green; ten great- grandchildren; three great- great grandchildren.
