Elsie Mae Tesnear

Elsie "Penny" Tesnear, 80, of Gastonia, N.C., passed away May 22, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, N.C. She was born February 2, 1935 to the Late Emory Barnes and Norma Dye Barnes. Penny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Left to cherish her memories are husband, John Tesnear; son and daughter in-law, Vincent and Lisa Vella; daughters and son in-law, Kathy and Ken Love, Jane Vella; step sons and daughters in- law, Eddie and Bridgett Tesnear, Kevin and Susan Tesnear; step daughter and son in- law, Tina and Larry Crisp; 18 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, David and Tommy Vella; sister, Ethel Brown. A funeral service will be held 3 pm on Sunday, at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia officiated by Rev. Chris Doster. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 3:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
