Ellie Garms

Ellie Garms, 83, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Atrium in Lincolnton.

She was born in Dodge County Wisconsin to the late Leonard and Viola Peichekoske.

Ellie was the owner of the Top Hat Supper Club in Fond du Lac, WI. For 10 years. She sold the Supper Club and moved to North Carolina in 1988. Then in 1992 she moved to South Carolina and started working for Sonny Hancock dealership in Gastonia, NC for 10 years before she retired. Ellie has always been very involved with her church. She also was in a Red Hats group which she really enjoyed. She loved being around people and had many friends. She never met anyone she couldn't be friends with. She had the biggest heart and would help anyone that she could.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Garms; sister, Carol Rohm.

Ellie is survived by her daughters, Pam Toomey and husband David, Cheri Motsinger and husband John; brother Phillip Peichekoske; two grandchildren, Ryan and Nicholas Martin; one great-grandchild, Rhett Martin; boyfriend of 12 years, Vance Lemming.

A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Jan Deans will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, 2:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church, 5008 S. New Hope Road, Belmont, NC.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
