Ellen Marie Huffstetler King

Ellen Marie Huffstetler King, 84, of Gastonia went home in the arms of Jesus April 27, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born December 12, 1930 a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Ervin and Lula Messer. Ellen is survived by her sons, Don Huffstetler and wife, Pat, Bruce Huffstetler and wife, Joann, Cecil Huffstetler and wife, Carol; brother, Johnny Messer; sister, Louise Patrick; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a very special friend and caregiver, Pat Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Huffstetler; sister, Vonona Cook and brother, David Messer. A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Richard Cole. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park. Donations may be made to Gaston Hospice (The Robin Johnson House) - PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
