Ella Ruth Frye

Ella Ruth Frye passed away into Glory to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 8:20 am on Memorial Day May 28, 2018 at Courtland Terrace Nursing Home in Gastonia NC

The celebration service of her life will be at 2:00 June 29 at The First Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Ridge Road in Columbus MS with Ron Delgado officiating . There will be a fellowship time one hour before the service .

She was an amazing Godly woman, a true disciple of Christ . Many people are the direct fruit of her walk and intercession. She will be a memorial to many of us who knew her. She and her husband Alton Frye owned Frye's Service Station for twenty years and Frye Oil Co. Inc for 13 years . She was a student of God's word and taught many positions at the C P Church and bible studies . She was an active member of The 1st Cumberland Presbyterian Church and later at the Evangel Church .

As a community supporter she volunteered with Contact Helpline, and mission outreaches in the city .

Ella Ruth was born on September 15, 1918 to the late Samuel H Maughan and Bertie Wells Maughan . In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband B.

Alton Frye Sr. and son Wallace David Frye , and six siblings .

She is survived by her daughters Donna Smith (Don) Gastonia NC , Wanda Short Keeling VA, and son Boyce Frye (Jeanna) Columbus MS. Also she was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren , and many nieces and nephews .
