Ella Mae Anderson Waldt

Ella Mae Anderson Waldt,77, of Kings Mountain, passed away July 6, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born October 20, 1944, in Robbinsville, NC, daughter of the late Norman and Birdie Anderson. She grew up in Gastonia and moved to Kings Mountain 35 years ago.

A devout Christian, Ella Mae was loving, generous, and caring. She never met a stranger, and within two minutes of meeting someone, knew their life story.

She was strong, independent, and fiery. She had a quick wit and great sense of humor.

Above all, she cared the most about her FAMILY, and she gave completely of herself to their care and well-being.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Monday, July 11, 2022, at Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Dr. Dennis Gomez.

The family will receive friends 2-3 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Ella Mae is survived by her daughters, Denise Davis of Fairfield, CT, Michelle Waldt of Kings Mountain, NC ; sister, Gaynell Treece of Gastonia, NC; brother, Willard Anderson and wife Lure of Gastonia, NC; sister-in-law, Linda Waldt of Kings Mountain, NC;  grandchildren, Trey Merrill and wife Kimberly of Lexington, KY, Brittany Moore of Dallas, NC, Robbie Neelands and wife Angie of Clover, SC, Lilya and Gabriella Davis of Fairfield, CT, Alex Davis USMC of Cherry Point, NC; great-grandchildren, Emilie and Ben Neelands of Clover, SC, Mason and Karson Merrill of Lexington, KY; great-great-grandchildren, Blakeleigh and newborn Micah Goodson.

In addition to her parents, Ella Mae was preceded in death by her loving husband Marshall Waldt; devoted daughter, Monica Neelands; elder brothers Howard and Robert Anderson.
