It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth "Nannie" Wilson, who departed this life on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the age of 87 and went home to be with the Lord. She was born on October 8, 1938, Gaston County, North Carolina, Elizabeth lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and faith. A longtime member of Carson Memorial Baptist Church, she found joy in sharing her love for her Lord and Savior with everyone around her. Elizabeth's unwavering spirit and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She deeply loved her family and her friends.

She enjoyed a fulfilling career as a nurse, caring for the health and wellbeing of countless individuals in her community and beyond. Her dedication to the healthcare field was evident through her nurturing nature and tireless work ethic.

A celebration of Elizabeth's life will take place on January 14, 2026. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Greene Funeral Service - West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm, officiated by her son, Pastor Chris Wilson, grandson, Pastor Brian Wilson and Pastor Robert Ammons. She will be laid to rest at Mountain Rest Cemetery with pallbearers being Shane Childers, Charlie Childers, Eli Childers, Jackson Childers, Kevin Kiser, Bradley Wilson, Tanner Wilson, Brian Wilson, Carter Wilson and honorary pallbearers, Eddie Brown, James Pettiford, Clint Spencer, Robbie Spencer.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Chris Wilson (Diane); her daughter, Cathy Kiser (Brett); brothers, Terry Spencer (Linda), Eddie Spencer (Joye); sister-in-law, Linda Deaton, Judy Bridges; grandchildren, Jennifer Childers (Shane), Jaime Kiser, Kevin Kiser, Brian Wilson (Sonja), Bradley Wilson (Kaylee), Brittany Miller (Jay), Cameron Wilson; twelve great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Spencer and Bertie Absher Spencer, and her beloved husband, Jimmy Wilson and her son, Michael Wilson; brothers, Ken Spencer, Bill Spencer; sisters, Bobbi Page, Nadine Carson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Ambassador Baptist College Student Scholarship Fund, 101 Stockton Street Lattimore, NC 28089.

In this time of reflection and remembrance, we invite all who knew Elizabeth to honor her legacy of faith, love, and service. Her life was a testament to the impact one individual can have on the lives of many, and she will be profoundly missed.
