Dallas, NC - Eleanor Coffey Cloninger, 78, of Dallas, passed away January 23, 2014 at Summit Place. She was born September 29, 1935, daughter of the late Michael and Estell Coffey. Eleanor was a lifelong resident and retired as a finance director after 32 years with Gaston County. She was a charter member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. She loved her family unconditionally, was a blessing and will always be in our hearts. She loved to cook, clean and teach things that a lady should know. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Dallas, officiated by, Pastor Jason Sigmon. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. on Sunday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park. Eleanor is survived by: daughter, Robbie Wooten; brother, Michael Liebert Coffey and wife, Joan; great-grandchild, Sarah Wooten and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life of over 53 years, Willford Cloninger and her grandson, Chris Wooten.
