Edward Welch

Edward "Junior" Welch, age 75, passed away on March 14, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. He was born August 31, 1937 in Gaston County, son of the late Edward C. Welch Sr. and Beulah Smith Welch. A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Wednesday at Long Creek Baptist Church, Dallas, NC, officiated by Revs. Randy Richardson and Jim Shaw. The interment will be at the church cemetery.The family will receive friends 6-8 pm on Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. He is survived by: his wife of 48 years, Lola Welch; three sons and one daughter in-law; four brothers; four sisters; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
