Edward Joseph Solecki Jr.

Edward Joseph Solecki, Jr. 68, of Gastonia, passed away April 3, 2016 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

He was born August 2, 1947 in Hamtramck, MI, the son of the late Edward Joseph Solecki Sr. and Bertha Phajoff Solecki.  Eddie was a US Navy veteran and retired from Bell Quest Corp in Michigan.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Joyce May Solecki; sons Joey, Tony and Dean Solecki from Colorado, Ben Roach and wife Faith of Gastonia; sister-in-laws Cynthia Boyter of Dallas, Kim Arrowood and husband David of Bessemer City, Janet Livingston and husband Scott of Marion; sisters Barbara Misiak and Susie Wenitz of Northport, Fla. and grandchildren Christian and Corey Carroll and Aaron, Nicholas and Destiny Roach.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother Amelie Brown Solecki.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Gaston Baptist Church, 516 South Gaston Street, Dallas.

The family will receive friends 12 – 2 pm prior to the service at the church.

Family will be at the home of Cynthia Boyter, 326 S. Gaston Avenue, Dallas, NC.
