Edward W Mcdonald

Edward W McDonald Sr., 77, of Clover, S.C., passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
He was born December 30, 1940, son of the late, Frank W McDonald and Pearl Bell.
Edward loved his family, fishing, and never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry McDonald, and Larry McDonald; sister, Jerline Perryman.
He is survived by his wife, married over 58 years, Glenda McDonald; sons, Edward W McDonald Jr. and wife Nikki, Everett McDonald, and Matthew McDonald Sr.; daughters, Robin Caldwell and husband Jason, Renee McDonald, Cathy Sanders and O'Jay Schaller, Susan Center and husband Brad, and Ginger Talford and husband Damenion; sisters, Linda Perryman, and Carolyn Stennett and her husband Bobby; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Ted Cole, will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
Family will receive friends 6-8 Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery, Gastonia.
