Edward Joseph Hanley IV, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC.

He was born July 28, 1947, in Troy NY, to the late Edward and Ann Hanley.

Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Wanda Walker Hanley; two daughters, Pamela Walker Wetter (James), Telenia Walker Smith (Edward); six grandchildren, Joseph Wells, Jesse Wells (Tabetha), Allen Smith (Meghan), Brittney Smith, Samantha Manson (Russell), Caleb Smith (Erica); twelve great-grandchildren, Bayle Wells, Bella Wells , Zoey Wells, Maddie Wells, Lily Wells, Talon Wells, Sawyer Wells, Ilianna Manson, Elaina Manson, Richard Manson, Walker Smith, Emma Smith; and his beloved pet, Lady.
