Edna Wiggins Bell
January 4, 1922 — April 18, 2020
Edna Wiggins Bell, 98, of Gastonia, passed away April 18, 2020 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
She was born in Swain County, NC, on January 4, 1922 to the late Thomas and Hester Medford Wiggins.
Edna loved the Lord, her family, and gardening. She never met a stranger. She was a grandmother to everyone and loved to do for others.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Bell; two sons, James Viars and Paul Viars; a brother, John Wiggins; and two sisters, Ila Mills and Virgie Price.
Edna is survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Long Creek Church Cemetery, Dallas, NC. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia, NC
