Edith Spivey Parker

Edith Spivey Parker, 90, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC.

She was born in Gaston County on February 14, 1934, to the late William and Lena Spivey.

Edith was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Gastonia.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Parker; daughter, Barbara Hedgepath; sisters, Annie Mae Hogue, Wilma Monk.

Edith is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Beaver, Deborah Hudson, Frances Allen (Gene); brother, William Spivey Jr.; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service officiated by Reverend William Calvert, will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024, 2:00 PM, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd, Gastonia, NC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
