Eddy Wilbanks

Eddy Franklin Wilbanks, 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, in Charlotte, NC.

Born on November 19, 1939, in Rossville, GA, Eddy was the son of the late Albert and Diva Brown Wilbanks.

Eddy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gastonia. He enjoyed reading his Bible, watching the Discovery Channel and Star Trek. Eddy was always talking about Space. He raised his stepchildren as his own and loved his grandchildren dearly.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Wilbanks.

Left to cherish Eddy's memories are his sons, Jeffrey Ilges (Nicole), Steven Ilges (Robin), and Eddie Ilges (Tabitha); daughter, Elizabeth Ramsey (Jeffrey); thirteen grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life, officiated by Bishop Richard Killian, service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.
