Eddis Jean Thomas

Mrs. Eddis Jean Thomas., age 82, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas. Daughter of the late James and Vernie Slagle Bingham, she was born May 14, 1932 in Gaston County, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Berry; brother, Oliver Bingham; and sister, Judy Anderson. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her son, Christopher Thomas; daughters, Patricia Barber, Karen Woodward, and Sharon Stone; brothers, Ray Bingham and Danny Bingham; sister, Margie Heath; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren A memorial service, officiated by the Rev. Dickie Spargo, will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
