Earsie Grigg Wood

Earsie Grigg  Wood, 95, of Kings Mountain, passed away on September 24, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born September 12, 1926,  in Cleveland County, daughter of the late Abrose Grigg and Ila Ross Grigg.

Earsie retired from Osage Mill, Bessemer City.

She had raised twelve children.

She loved to travel and go fishing.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, October 1, 2021,at  Sunnyside Baptist Church Cemetery, 1631 Tryon Courthouse Rd. Bessemer City.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her sons, Dean Paysour, Jerry Paysour, Charles Wood; grandchildren she raised as her own, Mike Paysour, Lee Paysour, Chris Paysour, Julie Paysour; sisters, Margaret Hastings, Ola Harmon, Helen Rayfield; twelve grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wood; sons, Donald Paysour, George Paysour Jr.; grandson, Glenn Paysour; granddaughter, Elaine Kanupp; great-granddaughter, Brooke Paysour; brothers, Clarence, Clyde and Carris Grigg.
