Earl Lewis
November 19, 1942 — February 10, 2026
Earl Lewis, 83, of Gastonia, passed away on February 10, 2026, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
He was born November 19, 1942, and was the son to the late Dock and May Bell Lewis. Earl served in the Army from 1963-1967. Before retiring in 2001, Earl worked for Bellsouth with 30 years of service. In his spare time Earl was an avid gardener and enjoyed watching movies.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Helen Brooks Lewis, Sons David Lewis, Robert Lewis, Brothers Willie, Fred, Mermon and Clarence Lewis. Sisters Eva Davis, Peggy Allen, Mary Lou Satterfield and Pearl Satterfield.
Earl is survived by his sons Ron and wife Jerri Lewis of Kings Mountain, Chuck and wife Angie Lewis of Gastonia, 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A family visitation will be held at Greene Funeral Home - West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd in Gastonia on Friday February 13, 2026, at 2:00 pm with a graveside service following at 3:00 pm at Westview Gardens Cemetery.
