Earl "Butch" Jackson Hill

Earl "Butch" Jackson Hill, Jr., 69, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at his residence.

He was born February 20, 1953, a native of Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Earl Jackson Hill, Sr., and Edith Lang Hill.

Butch was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Bass Club. He loved to hunt, fish, talk on the CB Radio "Train", and antiquing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Mary Baker Hill; sons, Earl Jackson (EJ) Hill, III, and wife Jenny, and Chip Allen Sigmon and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Dustin Pruitt, Phoenix Sigmon, Taylor Sigmon, Charlie Rose Sigmon, Kalyn Hill, and Miley Hill; and great-grandchildren, Ryott Bridges, and Willow Foust.

Family will receive friends 6-8pm, Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Josh Glandon, will be held 1:30pm, Friday, at Calvary Baptist Church - 3001 York Hwy, Gastonia, NC 28052.

Burial will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to, Calvary Baptist Church.
